The Remains of a Dream
Ya-Ya-yah

Summary: A couple of special guests turn up at the Jump-in concert.
Usually Yabu was the most level-headed one, but for this afternoon performance in Yokohama Arena, he was slightly different. Yuto got a little worried when he saw Yabu drop the same bottle of water three times in front of him.
“Is there something wrong with Yabu-kun?” Yuto asked, running into the dressing room only to see Hikaru, quiet, sitting in front of the mirror starring at his own reflection.
Ryutaro, who was in the room reading from a textbook, shrugged. “I don’t know.”
A minute later, Hikaru’s phone rang and he grabbed it off the dressing table, flipping it over and reading it quickly before running out of the room.
Ryutaro shrugged. Yuto scratched his head.

The rest of BEST had noticed their strange behavior since this morning- they just chose not to say anything about it.
It was during HEY SAY 7’s dance break, and Inoo was standing next to Hikaru getting changed when Hikaru said, “Shoon’s watching.”
“Eh?” Inoo asked, surprised.
“Shoon’s watching. He told us he was coming.”
“But I didn’t see…” Inoo frowned, thinking. He had looked up at the VIP seats a few times during the show but did not notice anyone out of the ordinary.
“I saw him walk in when we were finishing up SU RI RU,” he said, before running over to the front where Yabu was waiting.
Inoo relayed the message to the other two when they were waiting for their cue, and Daiki looked a little worried. “Shoon has never… come for any of our shows before this, right?”
“But we were in SUMMARY together,” Takaki pointed out.
“True… but this…” Inoo said, looking up as they listened to the first strains of “Itoshi no Playgirl” play out in the arena. “Is kinda awkward.”
When the three of them popped out onto stage, Inoo stole a look at Hikaru and saw that he was grinning. As they ran down the stage together, Inoo looked up at the VIP section and spotted Shoon, but there was also someone else standing with him, someone familiar…
When they started dancing again, the two figures up in the VIP section started dancing too.

After the concert, Inoo went in search of Hikaru and Yabu, who seemed to have gone missing. He heard voices coming from one of the staff rooms and turned the corner to see Hikaru and Yabu laughing with Shoon and Taiyou.
“He totally forgot, I swear,” Shoon laughed. “We danced it six hundred thousand times, I can’t believe he forgot!”
“Shut up! I’m a normal person now, okay? I even have to wear this,” Taiyou said, holding out his “guest” pass and comparing it to Shoon’s “staff” pass.
The four of them stopped laughing for a moment after that, and Inoo was wondering if he should step in when Taiyou started singing “Memories” as he started shrugging his shoulders dramatically. It took a moment for Yabu and Hikaru to realise he was making fun of the feathers BEST’s costumes had on their shoulders.
“Shut up!” Hikaru laughed, throwing a towel at him.
Inoo grinned and turned back to the dressing room.
